Police were called to Lanphier High School on Thursday.
Lanphier High School security and administrative staff responded to a fight involving three students. A staff member was also involved in the incident.
District officials released a statement saying, “District 186 and Lanphier High School are committed to maintaining a safe, supportive, and respectful learning environment for all students and staff. Fighting and aggressive behavior are unacceptable and do not reflect our expectations of respect, responsibility and kindness. This type of behavior will not be tolerated.”
The staff member involved has been placed on paid investigative leave from their duties with District 186 while the matter is reviewed.
