The Artist Spotlight today brought back Code:Words with their new single, “All Consuming.” Here is what vocalist John Dillon had to share about the track:
“All Consuming” is about struggling with the realization that you can’t save someone who doesn’t want to save themselves. That over time you can break yourself down in service of others and not realize the effects it had on you. At some point you’re faced with an uncomfortable choice, them or me. I think this is a moment a lot of people can relate to. We all have someone in our lives that we’d do anything to protect from the cold realities of the world, but eventually you have to tell them “I won’t set myself on fire to keep you warm anymore.”
You can hear the song again with Ryan at 230 & 730 with Alexa. “All Consuming” is also on New On Queue each Saturday night.
