If you have to hit the grocery store for some last-minute ingredients today or tomorrow, you won’t be the only one.
Instacart shared a list of the top things that see a big surge in sales last-minute . . . so, the stuff we’ve waited to buy, FORGOT to buy, or just need more of.
1. Cheddar cheese. Needed for things like mac-and-cheese and casseroles.
2. Cream cheese. Used for cheesecake, casseroles, and mashed potatoes.
3. Whipped cream. To go on your pumpkin pie.
4. Buns and rolls. Last-minute makes sense. Buy them too soon, they get stale.
5. Canned green beans
6. Butter
7. Canned corn
8. Boxed stuffing
9. Fruity soda. For the kids or cocktails, or people who don’t drink.
10. Heavy whipping cream
They also looked at the top NON-food items we buy a lot more than usual in November. They include candle holders . . . serving spoons and spatulas . . . cake pans . . . and extra wine glasses.
