Relationships can end over something dumb . . . and it’s even more common with dating and flings, where there’s LESS investment.
People online are talking about the “pettiest reasons” they stopped hooking up with someone. And honestly, some of them are completely understandable. Here are a few highlights:
1. “She got mad that I never viewed her Instagram Stories. I barely used Instagram . . . [it’s] not my thing.”
2. “She had this silly oversized beret that I thought was an occasional fashion choice. But it turned out to be a personality piece she wore ALL THE TIME.”
3. “He had his last name tattooed across his back.”
4. “They never said ‘thanks’ to anyone, for anything.”
5. “They chewed way too loud.”
6. “On our first date, she talked about shoes for three hours. I thought she was nervous, so I booked a second date. 15 minutes into it, she began talking about how amazing the shoes someone had in front of me were. I told her things weren’t going to work out.”
7. “They littered.”
8. “They ruined the ending of ‘The X-Files’ for me.”
9. “He always peed on my toilet and all around it.”
10. “He talked non-stop while I was trying to watch a show.” Also: Someone else said, “We went to the movies, and she would constantly ask me questions and make comments throughout.”
11. “Baby talk. I hate baby talk. I’m an adult. Speak to me like an adult.”
12. “She didn’t want me to get a phone case with Carlton from ‘The Fresh Prince’ on it . . . I realized she didn’t share my sense of whimsy and fun.”
