Helping Hands of Springfield is warning residents about scam callers offering to help with rent and changing internet providers.
The agency’s executive director, Robert Gillespie, said in a Wednesday Facebook post that Helping Hands does not cold call people to offer services or ask for donations.
Gillespie urged people to never give financial information or social security numbers to callers.
