If you’re a huge “Wicked” fan and you’re psyched for the movie, this is NOT going to be music to your ears: AMC Theaters are not going to let you sing along.
They’re running a 30-second warning set to clips from the movie that says, quote, “No talking. No texting. No singing. No wailing. No flirting. And absolutely no name-calling. Enjoy the magic of movies.”
An AMC spokesperson says the chain has, quote, “a long-standing policy that prohibits disruptive behavior.”
No doubt other theaters will enforce a similar policy. But, just like with the Taylor Swift “Eras Tour” movie, it’s probably going to be hard to keep fans quiet.
Theaters around the country WILL hold special screenings where audience participation is encouraged . . . but they don’t start until Christmas Day. (People)
